Today marks my 5 month being Alcohol-Free and the longer I am on this path the more I really don't miss it. It still takes some getting used to being able to drive for nights out and not have to get taxis etc. When alcohol has been part of your life for so many years, it's obviously going to be a big lifestyle change. I do already feel like I prefer a life without alcohol in it as I am able to get so much more done with my days and not waste them feeling hungover and rubbish the day after a night out. I still enjoy going out socialising and I know that my circle of friends might change slightly when I don't want to go out to pubs with no objective other than to get wrecked, but I'm fine with that. Everyone has to do what is right for them and as much as I still enjoy going out, I prefer there to be a purpose to it, watching a singer, Karaoke or whatever. Going on a pub crawl and buying a soft drink from put to pub, doesn't have the same appeal lol.
Also, I can hand on heart say that I have not even been tempted to just have 'the one' or a glass of fizz etc even when I have been n social situations, it really hasn't bothered me.
Following yesterday's shit show with my website and all the pictures disappearing, it would seem that when I was told I was running out of space in the image library and deleted them to make space, it also deleted them from the website! Why would they not give you a warning that this was going to happen? I assumed it was just deleted from that repository not from my blog. Anyway after initially telling me I would have to manually add the images back into over 600 blog posts (like that was gonna happen), I told them they might as well cancel my website. The problem was passed to another department and then within minutes I got an email to say they would restore everything from backup and it would all be fixed within 48 hours. Within an hour all the images were back working again. Well if that was so easy why did I have to threaten to leave to get that actioned? Customer service at it's finest. You shouldn't have to threaten to leave to get the result you need, if it's possible to help that should just be the go-to response should it not?
Had botox top-up since most of my face still moves and I can't currently hide my surprised look when someone tells me their age and thinks they don't look that old. I prefer frozen so I can just respond "Oh right" and they can't see me raise my eyebrows lol.
Juiced some Tumeric and oranges to make my turmeric shots. I air fryer dried the tumeric pulp then pestal and 'whatevered' it to make it into a powder so there is no waste and I now have a supply of turmeric for cooking too ;-)
Not sure if there is anything I can do with the orange juicing waste yet but I have kept it in a tub in the fridge until I look into it? Maybe I could make some orange muffins or something?
